Marco World entered the food scene in 2006. In Jakarta, MW opened a popular neighborhood restaurant called Pique Nique in the high end enclave of Puri. In Yogyakarta MW opened Myoozik Cafe in the middle of the leafy Indische Historic District. Both restaurants were forced to close during the Pandemic. But now MW is stronger than ever, ready to open unique culinary experiences once again. 

In a few months MW will open a healthy vegan and vegetarian wholefoods concept in Yogyakarta called the Fairy Kale. This cozy cafe will offer an ever evolving menu which includes local and international Vegan and Vegetarian selections. 

There will be all day breakfasts, coffees, teas, local jamu tonics, smoothies, juices, burgers, rice plates, vegan desserts and delicious traditional fare beyond tempe. In the pipeline we will also launch a classic Indonesian restaurant called Leluhur (ancestors), which is housed inside a centuries old nobleman’s compound. 

The menu will feature dishes from throughout Nusantara (local name for the Indonesian Archipelago), Tenggara (South East Asia), and Beyond. Weekly rijstaffles rice tables will feature a sumptuous feast presented by dozens of servers in traditional uniforms.
